Upon reaching Thimphu, you will visit key attractions such as the Memorial Chorten, the Buddha Dordenma Statue, and the Tashichho Dzong, which serves as the seat of Bhutan’s government and central monastic body. Today, explore more of Thimphu's rich cultural heritage. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum, which showcases Bhutanese rural life, and the National Textile Museum for an introduction to Bhutan's traditional weaving. Explore Zilukha Nunnery and the Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. After lunch, you’ll head to the Thimphu Tashichho Dzong and possibly explore local markets and shops for Bhutanese handicrafts before returning to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, depart for Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. En route, stop at Dochu La Pass, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan mountains. Upon arrival in Punakha, visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. The dzong is known for its intricate architecture and historical significance. In the afternoon, explore the Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Divine Madman’s Temple, which is dedicated to a unique Buddhist saint, Drukpa Kunley.

Continue your journey towards Gangtey, located in the beautiful Phobjikha Valley. This area is famous for its black-necked cranes that migrate here every winter. After breakfast, depart for Trongsa, a town rich in history. Visit the Trongsa Dzong, the largest dzong in central Bhutan, which is an architectural marvel and historically important. From here, continue your journey to Bumthang, known for its sacred sites and beautiful landscapes. The drive is long, but you’ll be rewarded with scenic views of the valleys and forests along the way.

Today, explore the cultural and spiritual heart of Bhutan—Bumthang. Visit the Jambay Lhakhang and Kurjey Lhakhang, two of the most important temples in Bhutan, known for their historical significance and association with Bhutan's founder, Guru Rinpoche. Also visit the Tamshing Lhakhang, a sacred monastery with vibrant murals. In the afternoon, take a peaceful walk around Chumey Valley and experience the rural lifestyle of the area before returning to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, you’ll take a scenic flight from Bumthang to Paro. The flight offers panoramic views of the Bhutanese Himalayas. Upon arrival in Paro, visit the Paro Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum of Bhutan, where you’ll learn about the history and culture of the country. You may also take a leisurely walk along the Paro River before returning to your hotel.

Today is the highlight of your Bhutan trip: a hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang). Perched on a cliff at an altitude of 3,120 meters, the monastery is one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks. The hike takes about 3-4 hours one way, but the stunning views and spiritual atmosphere make it well worth the effort. Afterward, you can relax and enjoy a well-earned rest before exploring the local markets or enjoying a traditional Bhutanese meal.
