Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the vibrant city of Kathmandu or relaxing at your hotel to recover from your journey.

After an early morning flight to Lukla, you will meet your trekking crew and begin your trek to Phakding. The trail takes you through beautiful landscapes, crossing suspension bridges and passing through small villages along the way. You will spend the night in Phakding.

Today, you will continue your trek to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Namche Bazaar is a bustling town with shops, cafes, and lodges, where you will spend the night.

To acclimatize to the high altitude, you will spend a day in Namche Bazaar. You can explore the town, visit the local market, or hike to the nearby Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
 

Leaving Namche Bazaar behind, you will trek towards Thame, a traditional Sherpa village. The trail offers spectacular views of the Himalayas and passes through beautiful landscapes dotted with prayer flags and monasteries. You will spend the night in Thame.

Today's trek takes you to Lungden, a small village nestled in the mountains. The trail gradually ascends, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. You will spend the night in Lungden.

This is a challenging day as you cross the Renjola Pass to reach Gokyo Lake. The pass offers panoramic views of the Everest region, including the stunning Gokyo Lakes. After reaching Gokyo Lake, you can relax and enjoy the serene beauty of the surroundings.

You will spend a day at Gokyo to acclimatize to the high altitude. You can explore the surrounding area, hike to Gokyo Ri for stunning views, or simply relax by the lake.

Leaving Gokyo behind, you will trek to Thangnak. The trail takes you through rocky terrain and offers close-up views of the surrounding peaks. You will spend the night in Thangnak.

Today, you will cross the challenging Cho La Pass to reach Dzongla. The pass offers breathtaking views but requires careful navigation. After crossing the pass, you will descend to Dzongla, where you will spend the night.

The trail from Dzongla to Lobuche is relatively short but steep. You will pass through rocky terrain and enjoy close-up views of the surrounding peaks. You will spend the night in Lobuche.

Today is a challenging day as you trek to Everest Base Camp. The trail takes you through the Khumbu Glacier and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After reaching Everest Base Camp, you will return to Gorak Shep for the night.

Early in the morning, you will climb to Kala Patthar, a famous viewpoint for sunrise views over Everest and the surrounding peaks. After enjoying the breathtaking views, you will trek back to Lobuche for the night.

Today, you will cross the challenging Kongma La Pass to reach Chhukung. The pass offers panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. After crossing the pass, you will descend to Chhukung, where you will spend the night.

Leaving Chhukung behind, you will trek to the base camp of Island Peak. The trail takes you through rocky terrain and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You will spend the night at the base camp.

Today is the summit day of Island Peak. You will start early in the morning and make your way to the summit, enjoying breathtaking views along the way. After reaching the summit, you will descend back to Chhukung for the night.

Leaving Chhukung behind, you will retrace your steps and trek back to Namche Bazaar. The trail offers familiar views and a chance to revisit the vibrant town. You will spend the night in Namche Bazaar.

Today is the final day of your trek as you make your way back to Lukla. The trail descends through lush forests and small villages, offering a chance to reflect on your adventure. You will spend the night in Lukla.

You will take an early morning flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city or relaxing at your hotel.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. This marks the end of your adventure in the Everest region.

EQUIPMENTS

You will be carrying all of your gear and share some of the cluster gear. Keeping your pack light is important, so choose light-weight clothing and equipment. Be sure to have a range of clothing suitable for all conditions. Sudden change of weather may require layering of clothing. Three layers will meet your needs. Avoid cotton or fabrics that do not maintain heat when cold. Comfortable durable wool (or proven fabrics) that breathe and expel sweat lends itself to an additional pleasant experience!'

We will offer complimentary water and a windproof duffle that you'll use on the trek -  carried by porters. The duffle is yours to keep once at the end of the trek. You can safely leave your bag, together with your non-trekking requirements, at our office in Katmandu and collect them upon your return.

All equipment, such as base camp tents, room accessories, climbing rope, ice screws, snow bar and ice hammer is provided by Sherpa Expedition & Trekking.
