Permits: Obtain necessary permits (ACAP and TIMS) before starting the trek. These can be arranged through trekking agencies or at Nepal Tourism Board offices in Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Accommodation: Accommodations along the route vary from basic teahouses to more comfortable lodges. It's advisable to carry a sleeping bag, although blankets are usually provided.

Food and Water: Meals are typically served at teahouses and lodges along the route. The menu often includes Nepali and international dishes. Carry water purification tablets or a filtering system.

Cash and ATMs: ATMs are limited along the trekking route. Carry enough Nepalese Rupees for the entire trek to cover expenses like meals, accommodations, and souvenirs.

Health and Safety: Trekking insurance is recommended to cover emergencies and evacuation. Carry a basic first aid kit and inform your guide of any medical conditions or allergies.

Electricity and Charging: Electricity is available at most teahouses and lodges, usually through solar power. Charging devices may incur a fee, so carry spare batteries or a power bank.

Internet and Communication: Internet access is available at some lodges for a fee, but it's generally slow and unreliable. Purchase a local SIM card if you need to stay connected.

Cultural Respect: Respect local customs and traditions. Ask for permission before taking photos of people, their homes, or religious sites. Dress modestly, especially in villages.

Waste Management: Practice responsible trekking by carrying out all non-biodegradable waste. Some teahouses charge for hot showers and Wi-Fi to support waste management efforts.

Emergency Contacts: Keep a list of emergency contacts, including your embassy or consulate in Kathmandu, and share your itinerary with someone back home.
