VISA INFORMATION:
TOURIST VISA: Tourist visiting Nepal is eligible for the tourist visa on arrival at the Airport of entry. However, Tourist holding the passport of Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia Ethiopia, Iraq, Afganistan, and Palestine are not eligible for on arrival visa at the port of Entry. It is issued and may be extended at the time or several times, till the visit but not exceeding 150 days in one year from January to December
DIPLOMATIC VISA: a person holding a Diplomatic passport who is on a diplomatic mission to Nepal is eligible for the visa. Family members (spouse and Children) of the person are also eligible for a diplomatic visa. It’s issued and may be extended at a time or several times, till the term of assignment in Nepal. Visa fee: no Visa fee: (Gratis)
OFFICIAL VISA: A person who is on an official visit to Nepal is eligible for the visa. Family members (spouse and Children) of the person are also eligible for the visa. It is issued and may be extended at a time of several times till the duration of official Visit in Nepal; Visa fee: no visa fee (Gratis).
STUDY VISA: A person coming for study, teaching or conducting research in the Educational institution of Nepal is eligible for the visa. It is issued and may be extended at the time or several times, till the visit but not exceeding 150 days in one year from January to December.
BUSINESS VISA: A person who intends or is doing business in Nepal is eligible for the visa. Family members (spouse and Children) of the person are also eligible for the visa. The visa is issued duration as recommended by Departments of GON but not exceeding five years at a time.
TRANSIT VISA: A person who is using the Airport of Nepal for the onward movement to other countries is eligible for the visa. The visa is issued for a day or 24 hours. Application for the visa should be submitted to the immigration officer at the Airport, Visa fee US $5.
VISA FEE:
1. Us $25 for Tourist visa with multiple entries for 15 days.
2. Us $ 40 for Tourist Visa with multiple entries for 30 days.
3. Us $ 100 for Tourist Visa with multiple entries for 90 days.

TRAVEL INFORMATION:
Foreign Exchange: Foreign currencies must be exchanged only at the banks or at the authorized foreign exchange dealers. The receipts from such transaction are to be obtained and retained. Visitors can also exchange money at the foreign exchange counter on public holidays too.
Banks: Banks are open between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM from Sunday to Friday. They are closed on Saturday and Public holidays. But some Bank opens on Saturday of standard time.
Time: Nepal Standard Time is 5 hours 45 minutes ahead of GMT and 15 minutes ahead of India Standard Time.
Official Holidays: Saturday is the weekend holidays in Nepal when must government offices are closed. Most business houses, however, remain open on Saturdays as well.
Working Hours: Govt. offices open from 10 am to 5 pm I summer 10 am to 4 pm.
